About Us

Keeping People & Pets Together Since 2010

POOPS assists people over 60 years and palliative care patients of any age who have trouble walking their dogs due to limited mobility.  We also help by taking their dog or cat to the veterinarian, groomers or boarding facilities for those who no longer feel comfortable driving.

Getting outdoors and getting exercise are essential for a dog’s health, and POOPS services focus on providing volunteer walkers who can help owners by walking their dogs.  Did you know that it has been scientifically proven that only 15 minutes of solid SNIFFING is the equivalent of 1 hour physical exercise for a dog?  Amazing!

Dogs and cats are vital to older people as companions, alleviating loneliness and providing unconditional love. Caring for pets has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety and depression. It’s for these reasons and more, that it’s important to keep older people and their pets together. This is POOPS’ primary aim – through building up a city-wide network of volunteers POOPS is able to offer this free service throughout the Perth metropolitan area and Busselton.

With our team of volunteers out on the streets and in busy public places like parks, wearing a POOPS t-shirt is the perfect way to spread the word about what we do. By purchasing yours today, we will attract more volunteers and clients, and ultimately change the lives of the animals and people we help.
